Dropshiponline.com is a drop ship company offering free membership to promote and resell its many product lines either on a marketplace site such as eBay, or on your existing  website. Whilst being a fairly straightforward website that's easy to use, it lacks some of the features of other sites, most notably the option of having a membership that creates a ready to use website for you. 

The first thing to say is that the website isn't as easily navigable as some of the others in this review category due to the layout, though it's not too cluttered or confusing once you've had a look around. From the homepage you can register, browse products, get information on shipping fees, warranty and returns, legal and privacy notices, general guidance on drop shipping and company details. It's easy to sign up, taking just a few minutes to register your particulars.

There are 1,500 products listed on what the owners claim is 'probably' the best drop shipping company in the UK, sounding a little uncertain. There's a truly huge range of different products, from generators, pressure washers, animal grooming products, caravans, camping and leisure products, toys, electronics and more. Despite its broad range, dropshiponline.co.uk specialises in machinery, tools and accessories. For example, in the product category DIY, building tools and accessories, there are multiple sub-categories including air compressors, battery chargers, carpenter's tools, hammers, power tools, pressure washers, pumps and extractors, screwdrivers, tarpaulins, work wear, work benches, etc.) For some product ranges the choice is good, in others not so good. The electronics category tends to deal more in accessories, cables and plugs rather than hardware. Other categories such as health and beauty and gift ware don't offer too much promise as the range is pretty limited. You can also browse products by manufacturer. It's worth browsing the bestseller category as you get to see the kind of products that sell successfully.

There is currently just one level of membership, which is completely free. This allows you access to the product catalogue in order to list items that are are then ordered and drop shipped direct to your customer (unless otherwise specified). The site also advertises a new  service where you pay to have your own website created for you. There was no sign that the website membership would be going live any time soon. Like other drop ship client websites, each will be integrated with eBay and Amazon so that sales you make here will be directed to your own website. An advantage to having a website linked to the drop shipper is that you can always be up to date with new stock, stock levels and prices. This will be strictly limited to 200 websites when available.

Product information is very good, with thumbnail images that can be enlarged (sometimes more than one image), lots of specification detail, as well as the RRP and wholesale price, enabling an idea of what price to set. This is useful if you're new to selling in this way and unsure about profit margins. You can also click on a link to ask a question about that product (via an email form) or you can speak to somebody by phone. You can also read customer reviews for each product, or write your own, but there don't seem to be very many reviews.

You can also get shipping estimates and check delivery costs to anywhere in the world (check by country or enter delivery postcode). This offers a range of shipping options to choose from.  Be aware that this isn't a guaranteed price. Shipping to certain locations in the UK (e.g. Scottish Highlands) and abroad, or items over a particular weight may involve additional costs. Can deliver to UK, Europe and rest of the world too. VAT is included in their product prices and there's no minimum order. Orders are normally processed and ready to ship in 24 hours. With its simple, straightforward approach, dropshiponline.com offers a great deal for the beginner, whilst perhaps not having quite enough to offer the serious seller.
